Full-Time Apple Picker

The role of Apple Picker involves harvesting fruit from our orchard on a full-time basis, requiring a commitment of at least 5.5 days per week. Candidates must possess excellent physical fitness and maintain good health. Essential tasks include lifting heavy loads (minimum 50 pounds), walking long distances and frequent bending or squatting to pick fruit or empty bags.

Harvested apples are collected using specialized bags and deposited into wooden or plastic bins.

Workers will also need to safely use and relocate ladders to access the tops of trees. Once bins are filled, quality inspectors will tag them with information such as the picker’s identity, type and quantity of fruit harvested, time of harvest and orchard location.
